NonProfit Consulting: Clients & Testimonials

PhilanthropyWorks takes great delight and pride in the clients we have served over the years. Here's what they're saying about us…

Resource Development

Susan has been a major asset to our school (for more than a decade) and our ability to find donors whose purpose matches our goals in providing service to a very needy population.  Susan has always been very active in her pursuit of grants to benefit our school. She is thorough, organized and gets results. She is a pleasure to work with.

Dr. Joseph T. Coleman, Executive Director
Royer-Greaves School for Blind, Paoli, Pennsylvania

Leadership Development

The Board of Directors and Staff of Audrey’s Angels benefited greatly by the retreat that Susan Walling facilitated for us. It was a day long retreat filled with vital information to take our organization through the next step of growth.  Susan met with key staff and board members prior to the retreat and researched and chose the best possible information to share with us per our organization’s needs. Susan held a follow up meeting with the entire board and staff as well and we are currently putting into practice what we learned at the retreat. Our board and staff members are more knowledgeable and more connected after having been educated by Susan Walling.

Linda Alderson, Executive Director
Audrey’s Angels, Phoenix, Arizona

Seminars

Susan Walling has been a guiding light for our organization for 5 years.  Since the start of the Executive Directors RoundTable, The Harp Foundation, has taken an active role, mainly due to Susan's excellent consulting role—Board Development, Strategic Planning, Board Training and Notebook, Assessment Tools; and our foundation has set good standards and policies and procedures under her guidance. The format for the meetings is interactive. Real peer learning takes place with case studies that pertain to all the organizations. We have had complex Board and Staff human relations issues that have been worked through with the best possible outcomes, due to her guidance. She has attended functions that The Harp Foundation has sponsored and her willingness to stay involved has been the main reason why we call Susan the "GUIDING LIGHT" for our organization. I highly recommend to all Executive Directors the participation in her programs. Thank you Susan for your expertise, patience and willingness to share your wisdom!!!

Rev. Joyce Blair Buekers, Executive Director
The Harp Foundation, Phoenix, Arizona

My professional relationship with Susan began in the EDRT (Executive Directors RoundTable) and has evolved into a strong support role for myself as CEO of UMOM New Day Centers. Through this relationship I have gained the confidence and the affirmation in several areas to take UMOM to the next level. Her professional support and knowledge in Board development, organizational assessment, and strategic planning has enabled me to direct the agency through some very important growth stages..
